Back to School

Getting back into routine

By Macaroni Kid July 20, 2015
Getting back on schedule is the biggest hurdle from Summer. It's important to start the routine early so back to school is not too hard for everyone. I'm the first to admit, I love not having to wake up my children up in the morning, not rushing to get out the door, and just the overall relaxing mode we've been in all Summer.

Here are some tips for getting back to school on the right foot:
-Sleep is so important, start getting them to bed a little earlier each night so by the time school begins it's not a struggle, they need between approximately 10-11 hours a night so as close to that as you can get the better.

-2-3 weeks before school begins implement the schedule you'll be following for school, get them up, fed, dressed and out the door.
-Keep the kids learning, make sure they are reading, and doing things they've worked on throughout the school year.

There are many programs out there to be rewarded for reading - found on my websites www.LakeWorth.Macaronikid.com & www.BoyntonBeach.MacaroniKid.com

-Make it exciting with new school supplies and clothes, there are great back to school sales happening now!

Don't forget Aug. 7 and run through Aug. 16 is no sales tax for certain items.

Enjoy the last few weeks of Summer break, wishing your children a successful upcoming school year.
