Although Divine Savior Academy will be Delray Beach's newest private school, it has a rich academic tradition. The school has been serving families in Doral since 2004 and is part of one of the largest school systems in the United States, one that is over 165 years old. Divine Savior’s Doral campus serves 850 students in PreK3-12th grade. Graduates of Divine Savior in Doral have attended prestigious colleges and universities like Cornell, M.I.T, and the University of Miami.

Divine Savior Academy closed on land for its new Delray Beach campus this summer. The new building will include a preschool, elementary school, and church that will open for the 2017-2018 school year. The campus is located at 15935 Lyons Road in Delray Beach.

“We are excited to serve the families of Delray Beach with private school education. We focus on giving students college-prep academics in a Christian environment, a complete education that prepares them academically, emotionally, socially, physically, and spiritually for whatever the future holds for them. Our curriculum is both individualized and developmentally appropriate and is taught with small student-to-teacher ratios. Each student receives what they need when they need it from supportive teachers,” comments Tim Biesterfeld, Divine Savior’s Head of Schools.

Divine Savior Academy in Delray Beach will offer 41,600 square feet of educational space comfortably situated on 10 acres of land on Lyons Road. The Academy’s new, modern building will feature 18 classrooms, a library-media center, an auditorium with a performance stage, an indoor play area, as well as two large art installations in transitional spaces. The grounds will include a playground, parking, and recreational fields.

“It will be a beautiful building in which students will grow and learn about the world they live in and their God who created it.  Our students excel academically while growing emotionally and spiritually.  It truly is a well-rounded education in every sense.” says Pastor Carlos Leyrer, President of Divine Savior Ministries.
