The Sunflower Play Initiative's 2nd Annual Delray Play Day will take place October 13 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Old School Square on the West Lawn, facing Swinton Ave. Rain or Shine!
FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES Super-sized Pop-Up Build and Play that offers an open-ended play experience for children- cardboard, recycling pieces, fabric and tape invite kids to create, decorate and re-create! All families are welcome to this free event!
FOR ADULTS Free 30 Minute Mini-Workshop + Q&A - More Play in Delray - in the Ocean Breeze room, 11:00 and 12:30. We are excited to highlight local community leaders to share their expertise about the power of play for every age - including play in schools, nature and the workplace.
Workshops will feature:
- Susan Caruso, Founder and Director of Sunflower Creative Arts and the Sunflower Play Initiative
- Shelly Zacks, co-founder of the Delray Beach Children’s Garden
- Ruth Floreal, Ed.D, Consultant and Instructor at Palm Beach State College
- Simone Chin, Assistant Director of the Sunflower Play Initiative.
