The MacaroniKid Boynton/Delray Playground of the Month is Lake Ida West Park.

This is a family favorite of ours - mostly because its close to home, but also because it offers so much. My kids haven't gotten bored with it yet!
This park is long. Once you turn into the park from Lake Ida Road, you follow the road around for a while until you get to the playground area, but it is relaxing and beautiful, so enjoy!
It offers serene walking trails, pretty waterfront views, plenty of parking, a dog park and boat ramps, a lot of pavilions options, picnic tables, and grills.
You can fish, exercise, relax, boat or jetski. They do not offer boar or jetski rentals there - you must bring your own.

The "main" playground itself has 2 areas - one for smaller kiddos and one that is a little bigger to offer the older kids some physically challenging climbs including a rock-climbing wall, a twisty climb structure, regular stairs, and an uneven "cliff" type entrance for full-body climbing. My son especially loved the mental challenge of built-in scavenger hunt game!
I personally liked the tactile learning manipulatives on the little playground. It gave my 2-year-old and I LOTS to talk about - shapes, colors, numbers, etc. and he got to move, match and play with the pegs.

The bathrooms are close by and kept tidy and there are 2 pavillion areas on either side of the play area - and a large open field area that is great for games, relays, or simply to just run!
